Nexen Tire to Equip Kia EV5 with Roadian GTX and N’Fera Sport

Nexen Tire Roadian GTX and N’Fera Sport tyres for Kia EV5 2025

Nexen Tire chosen as OE supplier for the Kia EV5, providing the Roadian GTX and N’Fera Sport for global EV markets.

Nexen Tire Aims to Strengthen Collaborations with Other Automakers

Nexen Tire has been chosen as the original equipment (OE) supplier for the Kia EV5, the company announced on October 13, 2025. Nexen’s premium SUV tyre, the Roadian GTX, and its ultra-high performance summer tyre, the N’Fera Sport, will be available for the electric SUV.

The Roadian GTX is an all-season SUV tyre tailored for the North American and Korean markets. Meanwhile, the N’Fera Sport is designed specifically for the European market, emphasising high-speed stability and braking performance. “This supply strategy is tailored to the driving environments and tyre consumption patterns of each country,” Nexen Tire wrote in its official announcement.

Both the Roadian GTX and the N’Fera Sport were designed by utilising the torque steer pattern design (TSPD) to reduce torque steer (a phenomenon where high motor output pulls the vehicle to one side in the case of sudden acceleration). The tyres’ road contact area and traction have also been optimised thanks to the correctly distributed stiffness ratios within each pattern block.

Nexen Tire has also applied an in-out-multi-sequence design to reduce noise, an important feature especially for EV-specific tyres, where the absence of engine noise means more “attention” to tyre noise.

By supplying tyres for the Kia EV5, Nexen Tire has continued its strong collaboration with the automaker. Currently, the Korean tyre maker also supplies tyres for the whole Kia’s EV lineup, from the EV3 to EV9.

“Supplying OE tyres for the KIA EV5 proves that our products deliver reliable performance for the era of electric vehicles,” said John Bosco (Hyeon Suk) Kim, CEO of Nexen Tire. “We will strengthen our global market position through an integrated production strategy, and maintain our excellent performance without distinction between EVs and ICE (internal combustion engine) vehicles.”
