The new Bridgestone Potenza Sport EVO delivers shorter braking distances, better stability, and improved efficiency, expanding to 139 sizes from 17–23 inches.
Potenza Sport EVO To Be Launched in Two Phases: 2026 & 2027
Bridgestone has unveiled its latest ultra-high performance tyre, the Potenza Sport EVO with ENLITEN Technology. The new tyre offers enhanced sports performance, wet control, longevity, and fuel/energy efficiency, alongside an expanded size range compared to the Potenza Sport.
At high speeds, the new Bridgestone Sport EVO delivers stability both in straight lines and when cornering. Its wet grip, which has an EU label A-grade, provides better traction than the Potenza Sport. It also has a five per cent shorter braking distance on wet roads, as well as two per cent shorter braking distance on dry surface, compared to the previous model.
The improvement in performance is followed by increased longevity. The Bridgestone Sport EVO offers 15 per cent more mileage than the Potenza Sport, equivalent to around 6,000 extra kilometres. In addition, a six per cent reduction in rolling resistance improves fuel efficiency and EV driving range.
“The new Bridgestone Potenza Sport EVO with ENLITEN Technology is built for high-performance vehicles and drivers, whatever the powertrain,” said Stefano Sanchini, Vice President Consumer Replacement at Bridgestone EMEA. “Building on the success of the remarkable Potenza Sport, a tyre chosen as original equipment by many of the world’s most prestigious car brands, like Lamborghini, Maserati and Porsche, it continues the proud Potenza family legacy.”
The integration of ENLITEN Technology—a next-gen technology revolutionising Bridgestone‘s tyre engineering—enables the Potenza Sport EVO to be as safe, comfortable, and sustainable as possible. The use of such technology is evident in the tyre’s compound and design.
A high-stiffness compound to enhance stability during cornering and high-speed manoeuvres, combined with hybrid crown reinforcement, a stiff carcass, and a sporty profile shape with an asymmetric wall angle, enables the tyre to deliver exceptional control at high speeds.
The new bespoke compound with optimised inorganic fillers, combined with the pattern’s precisely engineered rib and void design, creates the ideal synergy for outstanding wet grip. The Potenza Sport EVO’s compound also uses an optimised polymer with improved polymer-filler interaction, improving abrasion resistance and longevity.
Developed and produced in Europe, the Bridgestone Potenza Sport EVO with ENLITEN Technology will be available in 40 more sizes than its predecessor. It will be offered in 139 sizes across a 17-23-inch range, fulfilling 92 per cent of the sports market demand.
Bridgestone, through its official statement, announced that the Potenza Sport EVO will be launched in two phases. Phase one, in January 2026, will see the launch of 92 sizes. Meanwhile, phase two, where the remaining sizes will be released, will commence in 2027. The tyre will be sold worldwide.
