The Hyundai IONIQ 9 adopts Continental’s PremiumContact C, a robust EV tyre delivering comfort, safety, and quieter rides with ContiSilent.
PremiumContact C Made for Heavy SUVs Like the IONIQ 9
The new all-electric Hyundai IONIQ 9 SUV will roll out of the factory on the Continental PremiumContact C tyre, the tyre maker announced on Thursday, November 20, 2025.
The PremiumContact C is a summer tyre made for heavy SUVs and crossover vehicles. It offers safety, high comfort, and improved mileage. Bearing the XL marking, the PremiumContact C has been designed to sustain heavier loads and provide protection to the car’s rims.
The tyre’s robust design enables a higher-load bearing capacity, making it, in particular, meet the demands of large and heavy electric vehicles like the Hyundai IONIQ 9. Its tread design with adaptive sipe technology provides precise handling, even under full load, on both dry and wet surfaces. Meanwhile, the extended contact patch ensures optimum ground pressure distribution, thus reducing rolling noise and braking distances.
For the Hyundai IONIQ 9, the Continental PremiumContact C has also been equipped with ContiSilent technology that reduces noise inside the vehicle by up to nine decibels.
This tyre is approved for the Hyundai IONIQ 9 in numerous countries: PremiumContact C, 285/45 R21 113 V XL FR ContiSilent.
