BKT Deepens Cricket Commitment with Women’s T20 Partnership

Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) has reinforced its support for Indian cricket by becoming the Official Tyre Partner of all five teams competing in India’s Premier Women’s T20 Championship: Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, and UP Warriorz.

Women’s cricket in India has been evolving into a strong professional ecosystem that values dedication, teamwork, and discipline, while offering greater visibility and opportunity for athletes. BKT believes in the transformative power of sport, and by supporting the women’s T20, the company aims to foster women’s empowerment, nurture young talent, and enable the sustained growth of the sport.

Meanwhile, representatives from each team have also expressed their enthusiasm for having BKT as an official partner. Rajesh Menon, Chief Operating Officer, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, said BKT is a valuable partner, not just for the team, but also for the sport.

“We are delighted to partner with BKT Tyres, a brand that shares our commitment to excellence, inclusion and the continued growth of women’s cricket. Their strong global association with sports and belief in high-performance platforms make them a valuable partner for us. We look forward to a meaningful and successful association,” he said.

From Delhi Capitals, its CEO, Sunil Gupta, praised BKT‘s long-standing involvement across multiple sports and commended its decision to support women’s cricket. “Along with supporting the continued growth of women’s cricket, we see this as a strong commercial partnership that creates shared value and long-term opportunities for both the brands. We are looking forward to a fruitful association,” said Gupta.

Sanjay Adesara, Chief Business Officer of Gujarat Giants, saw the partnership with BKT as “a natural fit” for the team. “Their deep-rooted association with sport, along with a clear focus on performance and excellence, makes this partnership a natural fit. We look forward to building a meaningful and impactful association and exploring the opportunities this collaboration will unlock both on and off the field,” he commented.

Another representative, Kshemal Wingankar from UP Warriorz, said that the team and BKT share similar values and long-term vision. “BKT Tyres’ commitment to women’s cricket and its association across all teams in the league is a powerful endorsement of the growth and potential of the women’s game in India,” he noted.

Lastly, a Mumbai Indians spokesperson explained that the partnership with BKT reflects its “Our Family” commitment to parity and performance. “BKT Tyres has been an integral partner of the Mumbai Indians for five years, and we are proud to now bring that spirit of collaboration to the women’s game. We’ve grown together for half a decade, and we are ready to bring that same belief and energy to this new chapter,” they said.

BKT‘s partnership with women’s T20 teams in India is part of the company’s ongoing effort to enhance its global and regional presence by embedding itself in international sports, including cricket. The company currently has a year-long partnership with Cricket Australia, under which BKT is the Naming Partner for India’s recent ODI and T20 tour in Australia.

Aside from cricket, BKT‘s international sports portfolio also includes Monster Jam, La Liga (Spain) and the Italian Serie BKT football championships, EuroLeague Basketball, Rugby World Cup France, and the United Rugby Championship.
