Apollo Tyres introduces a new TBB range in 10.00-20 size, featuring XT 1x, XT 2x, and XR 1x patterns to reduce fleet operating costs and boost mileage.
Apollo Tyres Strengthens Commercial Portfolio
Apollo Tyres has introduced a new range of truck-bus bias (TBB) tyres designed to deliver enhanced performance and reduce the total cost of operations for fleet owners. Developed through a collaboration between the company’s global R&D and plant teams, the new line-up leverages advanced engineering to improve durability, mileage, and on-road reliability.
To strengthen its commercial portfolio, Apollo Tyres released three new products in the 10.00-20 size specification. The range includes two drive pattern options and one steer pattern option, each tailored to specific operational requirements.
“This new TBB tyre range is a strong step forward in our journey to deliver superior performance and value. By combining advanced design, robust construction and application-focused patterns, we aim to help our customers achieve lower operating costs while meeting the demands of newer and growing vehicle segments,” said Rajesh Dahiya, Vice President of Commercial (India, SAARC and Southeast Asia) at Apollo Tyres Ltd.
The new XT 1x is a drive pattern tyre engineered to maximise profitability for operators. It features a sturdy lug design that provides resistance against cuts and chips, along with an optimised tread mass distribution to extend tyre life. The construction includes a durable carcass structure and cavity profile to ensure better casing longevity.
The XT 2x, on the other hand, is for applications requiring additional load-bearing capacities. Its drive pattern has been designed for extra strength. The tyre also incorporates an extra deep tread with a high-mileage compound, optimised shoulder lugs for durability, and a reinforced casing to support enhanced load-carrying capacity.
Completing the trio is the XR 1x, a steer pattern tyre focused on extending service life. It utilises a high tread depth with a modular matrix tread to reduce wear rates. Technical features include a stress-relieving, deeper shoulder window to facilitate faster heat dissipation and 100 per cent tie-bar-protected ribs to improve durability. The steer pattern itself is optimised for stability, handling, and even wear.
“With this launch, Apollo Tyres continues to strengthen its commitment to innovation, customer-centricity and delivering products that support efficient, profitable and reliable mobility,” the company said.
