Sailun has been selected as the OE tyre supplier for the 2026 BYD Sealion 06 EV, fitting the flagship SUV with its EcoPoint3 technology.
Sailun Expands BYD Partnership
Sailun has been chosen as the original equipment (OE) tyre supplier for the 2026 BYD Sealion 06 EV, with the premium SUV fitted with Sailun‘s 235/55 R19 tyres featuring the company’s proprietary EcoPoint3 technology.
The Sealion 06 EV made its debut earlier this month and is positioned by BYD as its flagship model, built around the manufacturer’s second-generation Blade Battery fast-charging technology. With a focus on extended driving range and an enhanced charging experience, the vehicle demands specific needs that Sailun‘s EcoPoint3 range is designed to meet.
Sailun said the EcoPoint3 is powered by the world’s first chemical mixing technology. It is engineered to provide enhanced handling, longer mileage, and improved safety. Additionally, the tyres in the EcoPoint3 range also offer low noise levels and long-term durability, making them suitable for a high-performance premium SUV.
The partnership between Sailun and BYD extends beyond the Sealion 06 EV. Sailun supplies OE tyres to a range of BYD models in both the Chinese domestic market and overseas, including the Seal 5 DM-i, which is fitted with 215/55 R17 94V tyres using the ERANGE Performance E01 tread pattern, as well as the Sealion 6, which uses 225/60 R18 100V tyres under the ERANGE PRIME C01 pattern. In the Chinese market, Sailun provides OE tyres to models including the Yuan Plus, Qin Plus, Qin L, Song Pro DM-i, Leopard 05, Leopard 06, Dolphin, Seagull, and the Sealion 06 EV 2025.
