In the first Auto Bild test, the Ventus evo outperformed 19 other finalists in size 245/45 R19, scoring 1.1 and earning the rating “Exemplary”. The test began with 50 candidates competing in the qualifying round before, eventually, the best 20 tyres took part in the final round. The Hankook Ventus evo secured a place in the final round thanks, in particular, to a second-best wet braking distance of 42.1 metres and a dry braking distance of 32.8 metres from 100 km/h.

In the final round, the Ventus evo recorded the shortest dry braking distance, stopping more than a metre ahead of the runner-up. The tyre also demonstrated the highest average handling speed of 101.5 km/h, the fastest lap time on the aquaplaning circuit, and the fastest wet handling speed of 83.6 km/h. The tyre’s strong performance is also backed by the best price-to-performance ratio (€11.01/1,000 kms). Auto Bild described it as a tyre “for dynamic driving with excellent wet and dry handling, shortest dry braking distances, very good value for money.”

The Ventus evo repeated its success in the second Auto Bild test, this time competing with its SUV variant, at an assessment conducted specifically to measure performances on varying and difficult road conditions by Auto Bild allrad.

Competing against eight rivals, the Ventus evo SUV led the wet handling category with an average speed of 89.1 km/h and a wet braking distance of 50.2 metres from 100 km/h. Off-road, it achieved the highest traction figures on both gravel (11,442 newtons) and wet grass (3,729 newtons). The tyre received an overall score of 1.2 and became the clear winner of the test.

The Auto Bild allrad jury said, “The best tyre for a modern SUV with all-wheel drive has to be able to do it all. Hankook masters this extremely challenging balancing act most convincingly with the new Ventus evo, making it the deserving winner.”

Lastly, the Ventus Prime 4 topped the AvD summer tyre test after defeating 15 other models from premium, quality, and budget brands. Tested in size 215/55 R17, the tyre finished first on wet surfaces with fast lap times, short braking distances, and balanced handling, earning an overall rating of “Very Good”. The testers praised its clear steering feedback, strong aquaplaning resistance, and excellent rolling comfort on dry roads.

Sustainability credentials of the Ventus Prime 4 also drew specific recognition, with the tyre’s production at Hankook‘s Hungarian plant earning top marks in the logistics assessment, complemented by an EU label rating of A for wet handling and noise and B for rolling resistance. By also impressing in terms of weight, mileage, and tyre wear, the tyre was also described as a “durable and cost-efficient choice” by the testers.
