The new Indian men’s national cricket team jersey with the Apollo Tyres logo was introduced before the opening test match against West Indies last week in Ahmedabad, India.
The placement of Apollo Tyres‘ logo on the team jersey is part of the recently signed three-year agreement between the tyre company and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Two days earlier, the Gurugram-based company’s logo had appeared for the first time on a cricket field when the Indian women’s national team took on Sri Lanka in Guwahati. The company’s logo was visible on the sleeves of the women’s team jerseys.
For Apollo Tyres, sponsoring the Indian national teams is not only a strategic partnership with BCCI, but also a matter of pride. The presence of the company’s logo on the jerseys symbolises “a deep commitment” to support the sport dubbed as “the heartbeat of the nation”.
