Apollo Tyres has officially extended its partnership with the 1000 Miglia classic car rally as the Official Tyre Partner.

This new agreement means the company’s premium brand, Vredestein, will once again be promoted at the competition through its centenary celebration in 2027. In addition, Vredestein will also be featured at the Coppa delle Alpi and the 1000 Miglia Experience Italy.

“Now in our eighth year, we are proud to extend our partnership with the 1000 Miglia, an event that celebrates automotive heritage like no other,” said Yves Pouliquen, Vice President of Commercial EMEA at Apollo Tyres Ltd.

“Our Vredestein Classic range is engineered for connoisseurs who demand both style and performance, and there is no better stage to showcase this on than the world’s most beautiful race,” he added.

Giancarlo Fisichella Returns

Apollo Tyres has been sponsoring the 1000 Miglia rally since 2017 and this year it also announced that former Formula One driver Giancarlo Fisichella will continue as Vredestein brand ambassador until at least August 2026.

Fisichella, a three-time Grand Prix winner, joined as a brand ambassador in 2024 and has contributed to the testing and development of high-performance Vredestein tyres, including the Ultrac Pro. The Italian veteran racer will compete in this year’s 1000 Maglia, driving a Fiat 1100/103 TV Berlina equipped with Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres.

More than 300 cars will participate in this year’s 1000 Miglia. They will race through the 1000 mile-route from Brescia to Rome and back between June 17 and 21, 2025.

The race, dubbed La Corsa più Bella del Mondo (The Most Beautiful Race in the World), combines competitive endurance driving and architectural highlights. Participating cars must have been manufactured before December 31, 1957, and be of a make that competed in the original 1000 Miglia races between 1927 and 1957.
