Autogreen‘s Global Vision Local Roots approach underpins its Cambodia facility, building supply chain resilience and developing local talent
Autogreen’s Cambodia Plant Targets Europe and North America with Mid-to-High-End Tyre Range
Autogreen, the proprietary tyre brand under Best Choice International Trade Co. Ltd., inaugurated its first overseas production facility in the Svay Sieng Special Economic Zone in Cambodia in January, marking a significant phase in the brand’s globalisation strategy.
The first tyre rolled out of the plant just 288 days after groundbreaking in January 2025. Phase I of the project represents an investment of approximately $2.8 billion, covering a 32-hectare site with an initial production capacity of six million tyres per year.
The product range focuses on the mid-to-high-end market, including large-size high-performance tyres and run-flat tyres, targeting Europe, North America, and other key global markets. Meanwhile, Phase II is scheduled for commissioning in the first half of 2026, and the activation of this phase would bring a total annual capacity of the plant to 12 million tyres.
Autogreen said Cambodia’s location provides a strategic trade advantage, including preferential market access to Europe and the United States and optimised supply chain logistics. The company described the facility as a complement to its domestic production bases in China, enabling coordination of global supply. It also positions the Cambodian plant as a logistics and distribution hub for Southeast Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
“The Cambodia base is far more than a capacity expansion; it is a strategic cornerstone in Best Choice’s global blueprint. We are actively constructing a new operational framework of ‘Asian-based capacity supporting global markets’,” the company said.
According to Autogreen, the Cambodia plant will serve as an R&D base, focusing on providing answers to specific regional market requirements. With the plant now operational, the brand expects a stronger technical and after-sales service support across the wider Asia-Pacific region.
The Chinese brand also said it is building a local supply chain and developing local talent as part of what it described as a “Local Roots” operational philosophy, aimed at ensuring production resilience against external market fluctuations.
“The inauguration of the Autogreen Cambodia factory stands as our solemn commitment to all global partners amidst evolving market dynamics. Moving forward, we remain dedicated to our principle of ‘Global Vision, Local Roots’, continuously optimising our worldwide manufacturing footprint to strengthen industrial chain resilience. We are committed to ensuring Autogreen products reach every corner of the global market more efficiently and reliably,” Autogreen said.
