Automechanika Shanghai 2023, scheduled from 29th November to 2nd December at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), is poised to attract a robust international presence, with visitor pre-registration hitting an all-time high.

The show, covering over 300,000 sqm, marks a 36 percent increase from the previous edition, making it a key industry event for marketing, trade, education, and information exchange.
Fiona Chiew, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, emphasised the significance of Automechanika Shanghai in light of the growing new energy vehicle (NEV) supply chain and transformations in traditional sectors. She sees the event as a platform for connecting international automotive markets with China’s growing opportunities.
Li Zhang, General Manager of China National Machinery Industry International Co Ltd, echoed this sentiment, stating that the automotive industry’s ongoing transformation necessitates new industry standards, reinforcing the need for collaboration. The concept of Innovation4Mobility will permeate the show, offering an in-depth analysis of industry trends and fostering connections between China and the global market.
With 5,652 exhibitors from 41 countries and regions, including 16 returning overseas pavilions, Automechanika Shanghai will showcase a diverse range of products and solutions. Leading brands such as Bosch, ZF, Rheinmetall, Mahle, and Huirun will present innovations in smart electric vehicle diagnostics, new energy braking systems, sensors, high voltage contactors, and more.
The show will serve as a nexus for international business exchange, featuring 177 buyer groups, including 127 domestic delegations and overseas groups from 27 countries. Countries like Australia, Germany, India, Japan, and the UK are making a comeback or organising delegations for the first time since 2019.
Innovation4Mobility will be a focal point across seven sectors in 13 halls, highlighting key trends in automotive transformation. Four Showcase Areas, including the Innovation4Mobility Mainstage, Future Mobility Area, Green Repair Area, and Customising x Tech Area, will explore developments in NEVs, hydrogen technology, connectivity, autonomous driving, and automotive personalisation.
Furthermore, Automechanika Shanghai will also host 77 fringe events, with the debut of the International Automotive Industry Conference 2023, featuring influential industry experts discussing trends, forecasts, and market opportunities. Other forums include the New Energy Vehicle Sustainable Development Forum, International Summit of Connected-Vehicle Policies and Regulations, Automotive Aftermarket Summit, Used Car Strategy and Development Forum, and China International Tyre Industry Conference.
These events will delve into topics such as NEV development, connected vehicle policies and regulations, global aftermarket trends, used car strategy and development, and the latest trends in the global tyre industry.
