BKT introduces BKT Tyres for its B2B and B2C tyre range and BKT Carbon for its industrial materials arm under a new brand framework in 2026.
BKT Splits Into Two Distinct Identities as It Eyes B2C and Industrial Expansion
Balkrishna Industries (BKT) has unveiled a brand new framework that formally separates its tyre and carbon black businesses under two distinct identities, reflecting what the company described as a new phase of growth and transformation.
The Mumbai-based company has introduced BKT Tyres to represent its entire tyre business across both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) segments. Meanwhile, BKT Carbon covers its carbon black and industrial material operations. The company said the framework is intended to make its business architecture more recognisable, rather than representing a portfolio extension or a formal rebrand.
Joint Managing Director Rajiv Poddar said the group has reached a scale and complexity that required a more structured representation at the brand level. “BKT Tyres brings immediate recognition of our leadership in the tyre sector, while BKT Carbon highlights strategic industrial competency that extends beyond our historical core business. This evolution aligns the brand system with the reality of our growth,” he explained.
Satish Sharma, Senior President and Director of Business Development and Strategy, said the new framework would support the company’s push into consumer markets. “With BKT Tyres, we can address the B2C market in a more direct and recognisable way, highlighting our technical competencies also in the two-wheeler and passenger segments. It is a step that strengthens our presence with the end consumer and supports our growth strategy in mobility markets,” he noted.
BKT Tyres encompasses BKT‘s established B2B range, including agricultural, OTR and mining, industrial and port handling, earthmoving and commercial vehicle tyres, as well as ATV and lawn and garden lines. It also covers the company’s recently announced entry into the B2C segment, which includes tyres for motorcycles and scooters and a progressive move into the passenger car market as part of its 2030 Vision growth strategy.
BKT Carbon, on the other hand, is described as an autonomous industrial entity with its own strategic relevance, producing carbon black for multiple industrial applications beyond its role as part of the group’s integrated supply chain.
Despite the new framework, BKT‘s existing corporate motto, “Growing Together”, has been retained as the overarching guiding principle. “Growing Together is the foundation of our identity. It embodies our industrial journey and our responsibility towards everyone who is part of our ecosystem. It will continue to guide both our long-term vision and our global development,” said Chairman and Managing Director Arvind Poddar.
The new brand architecture will be progressively integrated across all corporate and business communications.
