HT Eco Battery, part of HT Group, becomes Clarios’ strategic partner in Malaysia to lead VARTA and Energizer distribution and brand growth.
HT Eco Battery “Honoured” to Be Clarios’ Strategic Distributor in Malaysia
Malaysian automotive battery distributor, HT Eco Battery—part of HT Group, has been appointed as the strategic partner of South Korean battery company, Clarios, to distribute its VARTA and Energizer products in Malaysia.
The partnership, officially signed on September 24, 2025, comes with several responsibilities for HT Eco Battery, from leading commercial and channel development for VARTA and Energizer batteries, building and increasing the batteries’ brand awareness and equity, implementing Clarios’ warranty policy and E-warranty programme, strengthening engagement and market presence, to supporting Clarios’ initiatives—including the Retail Partnership Program.
“We are confident that this collaboration will deliver strong results and long-term value for all stakeholders,” wrote Chee Lip Choon, Senior Director of Clarios Southeast Asia, in the company’s official statement.
Meanwhile, HT Group‘s CEO, Terence Tay, expressed his excitement with this partnership via a post on his LinkedIn page.
“We are honoured to be entrusted with this responsibility and are fully committed to upholding the values, standards, and expectations of the Clarios brand, Varta and Energizer,” he wrote.
“As the Strategic Distributor, we will continue to drive growth, strengthen market presence, and deliver excellence in customer service,” added Tay.
