Dunlop‘s Blue Response TG wins Auto Motor und Sport‘s summer tyre test with a 9.6 score and the sole Outstanding rating among eight rivals.
The Only Tyre to Achieve an “Outstanding” Rating
The new Dunlop Blue Response TG summer tyre has secured top spot in the latest comparison test conducted by German magazine Auto Motor und Sport and has become the only tyre to receive an overall rating of “Outstanding”.
The test saw eight summer tyres in size 195/55 R16 “rigorously” evaluated against each other, and Dunlop‘s new tyre achieved an overall score of 9.6. It performed well in almost all categories and achieved a perfect score in wet braking distance, wet lateral grip, wet handling (both measured and subjective), wet longitudinal aquaplaning, dry braking distance, dry handling (measured and subjective), and road noise categories.
The tyre was also given a score of 9/10 in wet lateral aquaplaning, dry lane change safety, dry steering response, and dry rolling comfort, further cementing its status as the top summer tyre for 2026. As its final verdict, Auto Motor und Sport wrote, “Outstanding grip on wet and dry asphalt, precise and responsive steering and reliable lane-change performance. Safe, wide limit range.”
