The Hankook iON FlexClimate‘s good driving dynamics do not compromise on driving fun, wrote Auto Bild about the tyre.
The iOn FlexClimate Safe for All Weather Conditions
The Hankook iON FlexClimate impressed in the latest all-season tyre test conducted by Auto Bild. The all-season tyre achieved top marks in the safety-relevant categories without compromising on driving experience and thus received a clear purchase recommendation by the German auto magazine.
Auto Bild compared the iON Flex Climate, a tyre specifically designed for electric vehicles (EVs), against two competitors in the size 245/45 R 19. According to Hankook‘s official release, the iON FlexClimate topped all ten test categories.
The iON FlexClimate set itself apart from its competition, particularly in the “performance in the wet” category. The tyre achieved top place in four criteria: braking distance, handling, behaviour in aquaplaning, and aquaplaning when cornering.
On a dry surface, the tyre achieved the best result in handling, with Auto Bild praising its “agile steering behaviour” and “good balance”. It also recorded the shortest braking distance and attained a good result for rolling resistance, cementing its position in the first place with an overall score of 1.4.
“This all-rounder delivers balanced performance at the highest level for safe driving in all weather conditions. Its good driving dynamics do not compromise on driving fun,” wrote Auto Bild about the Hankook iON FlexClimate‘s performance on a dry surface.
The iON FlexClimate is not the only Hankook tyre that has impressed in Auto Bild’s test lately. In March, the iON evo performed exceptionally well in the Auto Bild EV summer tyre test, in which the Auto Bild car testers put eight competitor tyres in the size 215/55 R 18 through their paces and voted the Hankook tyre the overall winner.
