The 2026 Lamborghini Super Trofeo season opens at Sebring International Raceway with Hankook Ventus tyres powering the field.
Hankook Tyre Powers 2026 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Across Three Continental Series
Hankook Tire-sponsored 2026 Lamborghini Super Trofeo has kicked off on March 18, 2026, with the opening round, held in Florida, U.S., running from March 18 to 20. The race marked the beginning of an eight-month racing season.
The Lamborghini Super Trofeo series is an international championship organised by the Italian supercar brand, Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. (Lamborghini). Hankook has been serving as the competition’s tyre supplier since 2023, with its ultra-high-performance (UHP) racing tyre, Ventus, equipped on the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, the racecar featured in the series.
For the 2026 season, Hankook said it aimed to further strengthen the global premium status of its brand through collaboration with Lamborghini and by showcasing its advanced tyre technology.
The Ventus tyre supports Lamborghini race cars under extreme racing conditions at speeds approaching 300 km/h. It has consistently delivered strong grip, precise handling, heat resistance, and durability across diverse climates and racing conditions in North America, Europe, and Asia.
The opening round of the 2026 Lamborghini Super Trofeo served as part of the North America series. It took place at Sebring International Raceway, a 6.0-kilometre circuit built on part of Hendricks Field Airport. The track features 17 turns and is known for its unique layout that combines dedicated racing sections with airport runways, taxiways, and a road course.
Certain parts of the circuit are constructed with concrete surfaces, placing significant stress and impact on tyres during high-speed driving and becoming more slippery than asphalt in wet conditions. With Florida’s sunlight rapidly increasing track temperature, tyre management became a key factor influencing the outcome of the race.
The 2026 Lamborghini Super Trofeo will be held as three continental series in North America, Europe, and Asia. The races will take place across 10 countries, with each series consisting of six rounds. After the continental series is concluded, champions from each continent will compete in the Grand Final, scheduled to be held in Italy from October 24-25, to determine the season champion.
“Hankook continues to demonstrate its top-tier motorsports technology by exclusively supplying racing tyres or sponsoring participating teams across more than 70 major global motorsports competitions, including the Lamborghini Super Trofeo and the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC),” the company said.
“Driving data collected from these competitions is translated into core ultra-high-performance tyre technologies through the company’s world-class advanced R&D infrastructure, serving as a key driver of its leadership in the global tyre market,” it added.
