On 6th May, 2015, Linglong celebrated its 40th anniversary and the commissioning of its new factory, Guangxi Linglong, in Liuzhou, Guangxi province. Among its 400 guests were agents and suppliers as well as representatives from the China Rubber Industry Association and local government.
The guests had visited the factory prior to attending the ceremony. Wang Feng, President of Linglong Tire, and guest representatives pressed the start ball to announce the commissioning of Guangxi Linglong.
Liuzhou is the only city in China with the production bases of SAIC, FAW, Dongfeng and Sinotruck. As the bridgehead facing Asean markets, Liuzhou has become the most important automotive production base in South China with a huge growth potential.
Guangxi Linglong is seen as the main step of Linglong’s ‘3+3’ Strategy. Linglong says the commissioning of Guangxi Linglong meets the target of its international strategy and accelerates the progress of internationalisation.
As the commissioning of Guangxi Linglong Project coincided with Linglong’s 40th anniversary, Wang Feng took the opportunity to present the history of Linglong Tire and expressed great appreciation to guests for being supportive during the past 40 years.
In the next 40 years, Linglong Tire says it will move forward with more confidence and passion, and aims to become a world-class tyre manufacturing company. Linglong is confident that it will ‘create another glorious 40 years’ with its partners.
