This Is Your Return to The Ring’ is the title of Falken Tyres' latest Nürburgring 24-hour race film is set to be released on its social media channels.

Falken Dedicates to it's Fan in Their Latest Race Film

Its release coincides with the weekend’s qualifying races for the main 24-hour race taking place at the end of May. The new two-minute short focuses on the return of fans to the Nürburgring after the two years impacted by the pandemic. It builds on Falken’s 24-hour race film that won Best Event Film at the 2021 International Motor Film Awards titled ‘Whatever Comes Our Way’.

Released with the hashtag #returntothering, the film is split into two parts. The first 60 seconds gives a review of the 2021 race, which had to take place without spectactors. Then, in the second half, the film previews what fans can expect at the Nürburgring this year, featuring some of the best views from the spectator areas. "Without these fans, it's just a strip of tarmac in the forest," the film's narrator states, making it clear to it's collective enthusiasm of the 200,000 fans trackside that makes the 24-hour race special.

Tobias Kahler, director of the Motionctrl FilmProduktion team’s ninth film for Falken, commented that the film has a different feel because it was shot last year from areas that previously were not accessible due to the presence of spectators. The team is using the film to get the fans in the mood for this year’s 50th anniversary running of the event.
