North Malaysia Tyre Association Celebrate 54th Anniversary
More than 700 people gathered at the Dewan Serba- guna Taman Chai Leng in Butterworth, Penang on 1st May to celebrate the 54th anniversary of the North Malaysia Tyre Association. They included representatives of the Malaysian Association of Tyre Retreaders and Dealers So- cieties (MATRDS), members from the states association, tyre manufacturers and tyre servicing equipment suppliers, guests and the media.
A full day exhibition was held as part of the celebration before the grand dinner, which attracted 12 exhibitors. Among them were Newera Equipment (Pg) Sdn Bhd, LS Automotive Sdn Bhd, Corida Sdn Bhd, Lubetrans Sdn Bhd, Unipac Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd, Kian Heng Marketing & Equipment Sdn Bhd, and LSK Auto Resources. The overall response for the exhibition was very encouraging.
“Apart from the anniversary dinner and exhibition, we had put a lot of effort in fund raising as well as looking into ways to raise the industry’s professional standard,” said Goh Kim Seong, the Pres- ident of North Malaysia Tyre Association in his opening speech.
