Great braking in both wet and dry situations are ensured through the deep wide longitudi- nal, latitudinal grooves and sipes on the tyres. They are also built with a strong structure of multiple plies and reinforced shoulder as well as bead area.
The new KO2, which is made in the US, is engineered from BFGoodrich’s incomparable championship off-road motorsports racing incorporates the company’s race-proven and race-winning CoreGard technology that gives it ‘unmatched toughness against sidewall splitting’. Compared to the previous genera- tion, the new KO2’s sidewall is 20 per cent tougher to prevent sidewall failures.
The rugged KO2 is also durable, lasting twice as long on gravel roads and 15 per cent longer on asphalt, allowing off-road enthusiasts to extend their adventure. In addition, it has 10 per cent more traction in the mud compared to the previ- ous tyre, thanks to the Side-Biter lugs in the side- wall, raised bars in the shoulder and 3-D sipes.
BFGoodrich Advantage T/A Drive and T/A SUV are available from 13 to 18 inches, with prices ranging from RM100 to RM500, while the KO2 is already available since January 2016 in sizes 15 to 18 inches, and is priced from RM1,000 onwards.
