Big Wheel Green Tyres Produces
Proven Quality Retreads
Big Wheel Green Tyres Sdn Bhd, the wholly owned subsidiary of Goodway Integrated In- dustries Bhd (GIIB), is the biggest retreader in Sabah covering almost 72 per cent of the major markets in Sabah.
Based in Kota Kinabalu where it operates from its 5-acre factory, the company has 46 hot cured press- - bers. Currently, it has 78 production workers, using the hot cured and precured retread methods, to pro- duce 13,000 retreads per month on average.
“During good times, we run 3 shifts and our high- est record was 20,000 retreads per month. One of needs of our customers as we cover a wide range premium procured tread under the GIIB brand and Quality CTA. The tyres that we retread include that for passenger cars, light trucks, 4X4s, commercial vehicles to OTR,” said Executive Director Ong Shaw Hua, one of the founders of Big Wheel Green Tyres.
With 40 years of expertise in this industry, the com- pany believes in quality, from the selection of mate- rial, equipment to casings. “Quality is important as it assures safety, reliability and durability. This is one of the main reasons that we can survive during the bad times. We have time proven quality. We adhere to stringent quality control in our production and all of our products comply with Malaysian Standard MS224, which is approved by SIRIM Berhad.”
