STC Tyre Mart launches Rovelo Road Quest AT tyres
STC Tyre Mart Sdn Bhd was appointed by one of the top global tyres manufacturer as the exclusive SEA (South East Asian) distributor of the Rovelo Road Quest AT light truck and SUV tyres for Thailand, Indonesia, Ma- laysia and Singapore. The prod- ucts are manufactured in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
STC Tyre Mart Head of 4x4 & SUV Frankie Kong said the Rovelo Road Quest AT tyres were developed by Rovelo especially in Malaysia for the South East Asian market.
Rovelo engineering team came to Malaysia to research and develop this Rovelo All-Terrain tyre based on the country’s unique conditions. The strict research and develop- ment conditions were said to push the boundaries of tyre design and - tive for the global industry.
Kong, who has more than 13 years of experience in selling 4x4 and SUV tyres, said the weather in Malaysia was the toughest among countries in South East Asia.
“Malaysia averages rainy days for more than 50 per cent of the year.
The road surface temperature in the afternoon is around 50 degrees Cel- sius and above. When the tyres are subjected to hot and cold extremes, thermal expansion and contraction would reduce their performance.”
Compared to other countries, the Malaysian infrastructure is good with long and straight highways that en- able motorists to drive fast.
