TireSuperboy – Exclusive Live Mall for Tyre Retailers
Based on a report from Google, Temasek, Bain & Company last year, the e-commerce sector in Southeast Asia experienced massive growth before the pan- demic. The sector increased almost 600 per cent in just four years, between USD 5.5 bil- lion in 2015 to USD 38 billion in 2020. Surpassing expectation, the outbreak of Covid-19 has accelerated this trend.
Traditional retail sales have no- ticeably declined but the e-com- merce sector has been on the rise during the pandemic. The demand for digital services has also continued to expand be- yond the biggest cities in South- east Asia, including in Malaysia, with more than half of the new digital users living in non-met- ropolitan areas. It has become increasingly obvious during the pandemic that e-commence has driven many commercial and social activities online, in- - ping and purchasing.
The digital transformation pro- cess in the Malaysian tyre
industry is rather slow when compared to other countries. Although the country has seen several tyre retailing platforms emerge in recent years, these platforms have mostly catered for consumers. TireSuperboy, however is a social media plat- form created exclusively for tyre resellers, automotive servicing and workshop operators.
