FastFit’s 36-Store Network to Carry Michelin Tyres

Michelin Malaysia has signed a partnership agreement with FastFit, a family-owned automotive service chain operating 36 stores across Malaysia, in a move aimed at boosting the brand’s retail footprint in the country.

The agreement was formalised at FastFit‘s Eco Majestic Experience Store, where Florentin Odenwald, Managing Director of Michelin Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei, met with FastFit founder Datuk Soh Tech Liong and members of the chain’s leadership team, including Soh Li Seng, Li Kuan Soh, and Matthew Wai.

Odenwald described the new partnership as a milestone rooted in aligned ambition. “Partnerships like this are built on shared vision, trust, and the belief that together we can create something greater than we could individually. Moments like these remind us that growth is never a solo journey; it’s driven by strong relationships and aligned ambitions. I’m genuinely excited about what we will build together in the months and years ahead,” he said.

For Michelin, the partnership represents a strategic step in diversifying its route-to-market in Malaysia. By integrating with an established, multi-outlet service chain, it gains immediate access to FastFit‘s existing customer base, as well as a stronger presence in local neighbourhoods and urban hubs, where the brand was previously less accessible.

Meanwhile, for FastFit, its alignment with Michelin is expected to attract more premium vehicle owners seeking certified safety and performance standards associated with the French brand. FastFit technicians will also receive access to Michelin‘s training programme and technical standards, raising service quality benchmarks across the chain’s network.

For end-users, the benefit is more straightforward. The partnership means Michelin‘s premium tyre range will be readily available across the FastFit network, making it more accessible for customers without requiring them to make a dedicated trip to a Michelin outlet.

“Securing this partnership is a cornerstone of our long-term strategy. It enables us to stay ahead of evolving consumer behaviours, while maintaining a resilient and multi-layered distribution ecosystem,” a Michelin Malaysia representative told The Tyreman.
