NAMA Tires Cambodia Plant to Begin Mass Production in April 2026 Ahead of EU Push

NAMA Tires is expanding its passenger car tyre supply capabilities through production facilities in Thailand and Cambodia, as the company moves to strengthen its position in the European market.

Founded in 1999, NAMA has grown into an international tyre supplier with a portfolio spanning PCR, TBR, OTR, industrial, and agricultural tyres. The brand is registered in more than 50 countries and backed by 15 tyre-related patents, with customers across Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East.

The company’s Thailand PCR production line serves as its primary supply channel for Europe. Built to Industry 4.0 standards, the facility integrates automation, digital quality monitoring, and advanced process control across its operations, from compound mixing to curing and final inspection.

All NAMA products from Thailand carry ECE and R117 certification and meet EU labelling requirements. Crucially for European importers, Thailand-origin tyres are not subject to anti-dumping duties under current EU trade conditions. NAMA said the facility operates at large-scale capacity with inventory available for immediate shipment, enabling it to support long-term supply agreements and reduce lead-time risks for distributors.

Besides Thailand, NAMA is also developing a new PCR production line in the neighbouring country of Cambodia, with mass production scheduled to begin in April 2026. The Cambodia facility is being built with high-level automation and scalable capacity. The line will cover both summer and all-season tyre segments, with a particular emphasis on the latter. The Cambodia plant is also intended to provide an additional source of origin for European customers ahead of any further anti-dumping measures affecting other manufacturing origins.

“The line will include 91 sizes of all-season tyres, offering broad coverage across key passenger car applications. This extensive size range is designed to support distributors seeking comprehensive product portfolios from a single manufacturing source,” NAMA Tires explained.

NAMA said the two Southeast Asian facilities together form the foundation of its long-term PCR strategy, complementing the main operations in China.
