Hankook Tire to Deliver the Best Driving Experience for Drivers
The highly-popular family SUV fitted with 19-inch, Ventus S1 evo3 SUV tyres (235/55R19V) which will be produced in Korea.
“We are happy to continue our partnership with Nissan, this time bringing the new 2023 Nissan X-Trail out to the streets with Ventus S1 evo3 SUV,” said Moonhwa Hong, Senior Vice President and CTO of OE Development Department at Hankook Tire. “Defining luxury with power and control with stable handling at high speeds, the Ventus S1 evo3 SUV perfectly complements the characteristics of the best-selling family SUV.”
Hankook Ventus S1 evo3 SUV effectively complements Nissan X-Trail’s balance of performance, safety, and comfort. The ultra-high performance SUV tire has significantly increased sidewall strength compared to standard products thanks to “bead packing”, the use of a special nylon material in the sidewall area. The two-layer carcass and the use of an aramid composite material reduce the unwanted expansion of the rolling circumference at high speeds by up to 60 percent compared to previous patterns. The Ventus S1 evo3 SUV also features interlocking grooves on a new tread compound made from high-performance natural resins, providing highly stable grip, excellent braking power, and durability across a wide range of temperatures and road conditions.
Jeongho Park, Executive Vice President and Director of Global OE Innovation Headquarters at Hankook Tire, comments, “2023 effectively marks the eleventh year of Hankook Tire supplying original equipment tyres for Nissan Rogue in North America, and starting this year with Nissan X-Trail for the global market. We believe that our strong, lasting collaboration is further evidence of Hankook Tire’s commitment to deliver the best driving experience for drivers around the world.”
One of the most beloved family SUVs in the world, the 2023 Nissan X-Trail comes in a standard 1.5-liter VC-Turbo engine that bolsters 201 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque that leads its class of gas engines. The powertrain on Nissan X-Trail makes the car fun to drive and rewards owners with best-in-class gas engine fuel economy rated at up to 30 mpg city, 37 mpg highway.
The 2023 Nissan X-Trail is one of the most comprehensive model redesigns in Nissan history, featuring a bold new exterior and refined, family-focused interior with extensive set technologies that keep passengers comfortable, convenient, and more connected. It also includes the most standard safety features in its class with Nissan Safety Shield 360, a suite of technologies that includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Bling Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist and Rear Automatic Braking.
Meanwhile, Nissan Rogue, the North American equivalent of Nissan X-Trail, roams the streets on Hankook’s Dynapro HP2. Optimised for mileage longevity, highway comfort and wet and dry handling, the Dynapro HP2 features silencer sipes that prevent harmonic tread pattern noise as well as a shock-absorbing base tread compound that provides optimal comfort. Other notable features include a straight four-channel waterway for hydroplane resistance and a high-stiffness centre rib block for improved steering precision.
Hankook Tire has been an Original Equipment supplier for Nissan since 2013 and has provided fitments for popular models such as the Altima, Pathfinder, Sentra and Frontier.
