GeaLife Motorsport’s biodiesel trucks successfully navigated 7,281km of the Dakar Rally using Sailun S910 14.00 R20 tyres.
Sailun Proves Resilience in Gruelling 2026 Dakar Rally
Sailun Tyre (Sailun), in partnership with Italian tyre distributor Tagliabue Gomme, has successfully completed its Dakar Rally debut, with the GeaLife Motorsport team crossing the finish line of the 2026 edition in the Dakar Classic category.
GeaLife Motorsport sent two teams to compete in the 2026 Dakar Rally, led by Giuseppe Simonato and Giorgio Porello, respectively. Both teams managed to complete all 13 stages of the rally safely, covering a total distance of 7,281 kilometres, with 4,162 kilometres driven against the clock.
Simonato piloted a 600 PS Iveco 190, while Porello drove a 200 PS Magirus “Misone”. Both biodiesel trucks were equipped with Sailun S910 14.00 R20 tyres. Sailun said the two teams praised the resilience and stability of its tyres under the extreme Dakar rally conditions.

In the 2026 Dakar Rally, GeaLife Motorsport was represented by a combination of veteran experience and fresh talent. Simonato, who founded GeaLife Motorsport in 2024, has been participating in various rallying events since the 1990s. His navigator, French-Senegalese Wade Syndiely, also has a vast rallying experience, while his mechanic, Alexander Sorbelli, was a Dakar Rally first-timer. The team comprising Porello, Simone Casadei (navigator), and Gianluca Capelli (mechanic), on the other hand, was an all-rookie team.
