Tyre servicing equipment manufacturer Wonder Internation Sdn Bhd recently participated in Auto Expo Myanmar 2017 in Yangon with impressive success.
The company’s Managing Director Allen Hsu said: “Our objectives were to survey the local market, present our latest product – the 5D alignment machine – to both the Nissan service centre and local customers, and promote Wonder Internation to the Myanmar people. We met all our objectives and the exhibition was a big success.”
Wonder Internation, which is based in Bandar Bukit Puchong, Selangor, displayed products such as the 3D alignment machines and the latest 5D alignment machine at the Auto Expo.
“We had many inquiries from tyre shops, workshops, tool suppliers and even the Nissan service centre asking about all the alignment machines that we displayed,” said Hsu.
Wonder Internation also found a strong distributor in Myanmar, whom Hsu met on the first day of the Auto Expo.
“The distributor we found has a long history in the automotive industry. They started by importing heavy machinery from Japan and as their business grew bigger, they decided to import tools and other related products from Taiwan. Their business includes importing Japanese heavy machinery, tools and other automotive related products from Taiwan. They have more than 50 employees and a big factory. Both their workshop and factory are located in Yangon.”
Hsu said this company would be Wonder Internation’s sole distributor in Myanmar.
“We chose them because they are well known in the local market and have years of experience in the automotive industry and an experienced service team. They also showed high interest in working with us by buying two alignment machines at the Auto Expo.”
According to Hsu, the Myanmar distributor would import Wonder Internation products, including alignment machines, car lifts, tyre changers, tyre balancers and other automotive related equipment.
In line with the company’s expansion plan in Southeast Asia, Wonder Internation planned to actively participate in various major trade shows in the region. “As a leader in the Taiwan and China tyre servicing market, we want to share our innovative tyre servicing technology and solution with emerging markets,” said Hsu.
The company would participate at the 34th Thailand International Motor Expo 2017 to be held from 30th November till 11th December in Bangkok.
“Thailand’s car industry has been prospering and as the economy grows steadily, car sales should increase in tandem. The automotive industry is very promising. We will display products such as 3D alignment machines and the latest 5D alignment machine. Our target customers include owners of tyre shops, workshops and service centres,” said Hsu.
Another Southeast Asian market in the company’s pipeline was Cambodia. “Cambodia is not far from Malaysia. We also had Cambodian businessmen asking about our alignment machines during the Auto Expo Myanmar,” said Hsu.
