Yokohama‘s ADVAN Sport V107 has been selected as the OE tyre for the new BMW i3, offering premium grip, stability and EU-rated “A” rolling resistance.

The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. (Yokohama Rubber) has been chosen to supply the new all-electric BMW i3 with the ADVAN Sport V107 tyres. The tyres are available in two sizes: the 19-inch, which includes 225/45R19 96Y front tyres and 245/40R19 98Y rear tyres, and the 18-inch, comprising 225/50R18 99Y front tyres and 245/45R18 100Y rear tyres.
The Sport V107 is an ultra-high-performance tyre under the banner of Yokohama’s flagship brand, ADVAN. The tyres supplied for the BMW i3 were developed in collaboration with the BMW Group, featuring a specially formulated compound and a tread pattern with the groove area optimised to achieve superior dry performance and wear resistance.
The ADVAN Sport V107 has received the highest “A” grade from the EU labelling system for rolling resistance. Its rigid skeleton delivers excellent steering stability essential for high-power premium cars. Its sidewall also bears BMW’s star mark, indicating its recognition of ADVAN‘s quality.
Under Yokohama Rubber‘s three-year (2024-2026) medium-term plan, Yokohama Transformation 2026, the company’s consumer tyre business aims to maximise the sales ratios of high-value-added tyres. One of the key initiatives is promoting the global flagship ADVAN brand tyres and the GEOLANDAR brand tyre for SUVs and pickup trucks as original equipment (OE) for new cars, including the brand new BMW i3.
