Yokohama BluEarth-XT AE61 Brings Eco-Friendly Performance to GAC Trumpchi M8 as OE Tyre
Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. (Yokohama Rubber) has been selected to supply its BluEarth-XT AE61 tyres in size 225/60R18 104V as original equipment (OE) for the new GAC Trumpchi M8 plug-in hybrid minivan.
The Yokohama BluEarth-XT AE61 incorporates the basic design and materials that are “environmentally, human, and socially friendly”. It also features an asymmetrical tread pattern and a high-rigidity profile that reduces uneven wear, a common issue with vehicles that have a high centre of gravity. Overall, the tyre offers a balance of safety, comfort, and environmental friendliness.
The new M8 itself is a high-end minivan that combines advanced technologies, such as an autonomous driving system, with a luxurious interior. The electric-only driving range of this car reaches 106 km.
Yokohama Rubber said it currently focuses on developing tyres using its BluEarth technology, and many of these tyres have been selected as OE by a wide variety of vehicles, from those with ICE engines to hybrid cars and electric vehicles, and from SUVs to sports cars.
