Automechanika KL 2025 Delivers Innovation, Connectivity and Growth Opportunities
Held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Automechanika Kuala Lumpur 2025 reinforced its position as a key Southeast Asian hub connecting local and international players. Spanning 12,538 square metres across six halls, the expanded exhibition hosted 311 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions, including 39 per cent from emerging Southeast Asian markets. The event attracted 15,098 visitors from 61 countries, with international attendees comprising 21 per cent and local visitors 79 per cent. Delegations from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand and Türkiye were among those exploring new opportunities in the region’s dynamic automotive sector, underscoring the show’s broad international reach.
The exhibition spanned the entire automotive value chain, from manufacturing and new technologies to aftermarket solutions, highlighting cutting-edge developments in automation, connectivity, digitalisation and new energy. Twenty-nine fringe events and activities complemented the main exhibition, including eight organised by Messe Frankfurt and 21 hosted by industry associations and organisations, to provide additional platforms for networking, education and collaboration.
Fiona Chiew, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, noted that expanding the event to six halls successfully created more space for exhibitors and attendees to engage in meaningful activities covering the full spectrum of the automotive ecosystem.
“The array of new concepts, technologies and solutions showcased over the three days signified the ongoing momentum and innovative spirit of the Asean automotive industry. Similarly, Automechanika Kuala Lumpur is poised to match this positive trajectory and I look forward to an even stronger event in 2026,” she said.
At the opening ceremony, Faizal Mohd Yusof, Senior Director of the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry, added: “Automechanika Kuala Lumpur is a dynamic platform that reflects the evolving automotive landscape and Malaysia’s pivotal role in driving regional and global progress. As the Asean Chair for 2025, Malaysia is committed to advocating for increased development of the region, particularly in the automotive industry. This show embodies that commitment by showcasing the growing trends of energy transition, electrification and digitalisation, which are shaping automotive mobility and logistics.”
