The Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 wins Auto Bild’s “Best Product of the Year” and leads Tyre Reviews tests with top performance in all conditions.
The Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 Available in Sizes from 15″ to 20″
The Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 has topped two recent tyre tests conducted by Auto Bild and Tyre Reviews, showcasing its excellent performance in nearly all aspects, including performing on dry and wet surfaces.
The German magazine Auto Bild has dubbed the Cinturato All Season SF3 “exemplary” following a balanced performance in all weather conditions. During the test, which involved 30 all-season tyres in the 225/40 R18 size, the Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 showed “excellent” aquaplaning resistance and performance on dry roads, as well as “great” handling and braking values. The tyre also achieved good results on snow and in durability tests.
With this result, Auto Bild described the Cinturato All Season SF3 as “particularly recommended for those looking for an all-season tyre with sporty driving behaviour and high safety on dry and wet roads”. The auto magazine also named it “Best Product of the Year” among all-season tyres in 2024.
Meanwhile, the test conducted by Tyre Reviews saw the Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 topping the list comprising nine tyres in size 205/45 R17. Tyre Reviews tested them all through 15 different tests, from dry to snow, using two seasonal references—summer and winter.
“There is not much this tyre cannot do,” wrote Tyre Reviews, as the Cinturato All Season SF3 proved to be the best in dry braking and recorded the fastest lap on dry roads, while also ranking first in handling.
On wet roads, the Cinturato excelled in aquaplaning tests, straight-line and cornering, and wet braking. It also recorded the best lap time, which demonstrated its “very good” wet handling. On a snowy surface, the tyre also excelled in braking and handling, while keeping the noise levels low.
Developed Using State-of-the-Art Technologies
The Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 is a product dedicated to medium and compact cars, designed mainly for city driving. Previously, it has won several independent comparative tests and has recently obtained an excellent ranking in tests by Germany’s ADAC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club), the largest automobile club in Europe.
Engineers at Pirelli used virtual modelling techniques at the company’s R&D centre, allowing all variables, such as compounds, tread pattern, and physical stress distribution, to be studied simultaneously. The compound includes new polymers and optimised moulding for uniformity and durability, thus reducing rolling resistance and noise—class A B on the European label.
On the other hand, the directional tread pattern features wider grooves and adaptive 3D sipes—changing from linear to zigzag with wear—to improve snow grip. The Pirelli Cinturato has also achieved class A for wet breaking on the European label and has received the TÜV SÜD Performance Mark quality certification. The tyre is available in various sizes from 15″ to 20″.
If the Cinturato All Season SF3 is designed for compact and medium cars, Pirelli has its own line, derived from the same technology as the Cinturato, for bigger vehicles like SUVs. The line is called the Scorpion All Season SF3. It is available in sizes from 17″ to 21″, and is equipped with Elect technology—a package of solutions developed to enhance the performance of electric and plug-in vehicles, identified by the specific marking on the tyre sidewall.
