As WRC’s official tyre supplier, Hankook proves its performance at the 2025 Central European Rally in Bavaria and the Czech Republic.
Hankook Faces A Whole Different Challenge in WRC’s Rally Japan Next Month
Hankook Tire had a successful WRC round as the Central European Rally, the 12th round of the 2025 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), concluded on October 19 in Passau, Bavaria, Germany.
As the official tyre supplier of the WRC, Hankook‘s tyres showed a strong performance in tackling the challenges posed by one of the most demanding tarmac events on the calendar.
Spanning 18 special stages and around 307 kilometres of asphalt roads, the challenges varied by regions, from the high-speed sections through the hills of the Czech Republic to the slippery Bavarian Forest. Sudden showers, dense fog, and sharp temperature swings also tested drivers, engineers, and tyres to the limit.
During the Central European Rally, Hankook supported all teams with its dedicated tarmac rally tyres, the Ventus Z215 and the Ventus Z210. The Ventus Z215 excels in handling and cornering, while the Ventus Z210 provides strong grip and effective water dispersion in wet conditions.

The rally itself saw Kalle Rovanperä from Toyota Gazoo Racing winning his third race this season. The victory lifted the Finn to joint second in the championship standings with Sébastien Ogier on 234 points, closing in on leader Elfyn Evans (247).
For Toyota, Rovanperä’s victory meant it had successfully claimed its ninth Manufacturers’ Championship title, surpassing Citroën’s record of eight and moving just one title behind the all-time leader, Lancia (10).
Next month, the WRC season will continue with the FORUM8 Rally Japan, taking place in Aichi and Gifu Prefectures. Known for its narrow, twisting mountain asphalt roads, the rally demands precise driving and a whole different set of approach, especially from Hankook.
