The Kumho Crugen GT Pro is the only Grade 2 rolling resistance SUV tyre in South Korea, offering high mileage and EV-ready performance.
Crugen GT Pro Combines High Mileage, EV Compatibility, and Premium Comfort
Kumho Tire has introduced the Crugen GT Pro, a new premium SUV tyre developed under its Crugen sub-brand, to meet the growing demand for comfort-focused, high-mileage tyres compatible with both internal combustion engine and electric vehicles.
The Crugen GT Pro is positioned as Kumho‘s flagship SUV tyre. It is the only tyre in its class in the South Korean market to achieve a Grade 2 energy consumption rating for rolling resistance. It also has a UTGQ Treadwear rating of 800 across all sizes, representing more than 20 per cent of mileage improvement.
The tyre utilises a latest-generation all-season compound, paired with wave sipes and expandable lateral grooves, to deliver stable high-speed handling and all-season performance. For electric vehicle applications, Kumho has incorporated its EV Technology package, which addresses the higher torque and load demands of EVs, while applying noise-cancelling tread to reduce cabin noise.
On the tyre’s sidewall, Kumho‘s K-symbol branding is visible, representing its Reliable Technology and K-Noise Defender credentials. In some sizes, the tyre features a laser velvet finish, using micro-machining to create a refined, premium appearance on the sidewall lettering.
Kumho said that the Crugen GT Pro underwent four years of testing, tailored to Korean road conditions. A Kumho Tire Research Institute official added that the tyre “has been tested for years” to maintain optimal performance.

Kumho Tire‘s Crugen GT Pro is available in 53 sizes, from 18 to 22 inches, suitable for various premium SUV and EV models.
