Balkrishna Industries Ltd (BKT) has been awarded the “Excellence Level” for the fourth consecutive year. The accolade is part of the global Supplier Excellence Recognition (SER) program by Caterpillar, a major global manufacturer of earthmoving machinery.
Caterpillar’s Supplier Excellence Recognition programme reaffirms BKT’s commitment to quality
The relationship between BKT and Caterpillar can be traced back to 2015, when the first supplies of trucks for the Indian market began. Today, BKT is a supplier for Caterpillar Inc. in India for Off-Highway tyres for equipment ranging between 40 and 190 tons—reflecting a long-standing business relationship.
The certification journey started in 2017, when BKT achieved the Silver Level certification. In the following years, the company progressed steadily: first achieving Gold, followed by Platinum, and finally reaching the Excellence Level—a distinction BKT has maintained for the past four years.
In addition to the quality of its products, BKT has distinguished itself for the comprehensive support offered to Caterpillar, from proactive communication to technical on-site assistance. Operational feedback gathered directly from projects has been a key element in the evaluation process.
