Continental AllSeasonContact 2 named best in tyre test by ADAC, TCS, and OEAMTC for top braking, winter grip, and environmental performance.
Continental AllSeasonContact 2 Performs Above Average in All Disciplines
Continental AllSeasonContact 2 has been named the winner of 2025’s all-season tyre test by not only one, but three major European automobile clubs: ADAC (Germany), TCS (Switzerland), and OEAMTC (Austria). The tyre received an overall score of 2.3, according to Continental‘s official website.
The ADAC, TCS, and OEAMTC editorial teams tested 16 models from European, Asian, and American tyremakers in the 225/45 R17 size. Seven tests later, Continental‘s AllSeasonContact 2 finished in joint first place, earning the rating “highly recommended”.
The AllSeasonContact 2 particularly showed its strength in braking, stopping 11.3 metres sooner than the tyre at the bottom of the ranking. “If the vehicle with the Continental tyre is already at a stop, the vehicle with the budget tyre will still hit a potential obstacle at a ‘brisk’ 41 km/h. With corresponding consequences,” the editorial team wrote, as quoted by Continental.
While tested on wintery conditions, Continental AllSeasonContact 2 also performed admirably, becoming the only model to secure a good rating on the test.
“It performs above average in all individual disciplines. Compared to the test field, the Continental offers good braking distances on ice and snow, as well as good traction and safe handling on snow-covered roads,” praised the automobile clubs.
The Continental AllSeasonContact 2‘s performance in wintery conditions makes it the only tyre in the test lineup to achieve a “good” rating for both driving safety and environmental performance. With improved mileage and reduced rolling resistance, the tyre also provides longevity and comfort.
The tyre is suitable for a wide range of passenger cars and SUVs, regardless of their powertrain and characteristics, and is available in a wide delivery range for rims with diameters between 15 and 22 inches.
