Kumho Tire‘s Ecsta PS71 SUV has been selected as original equipment (OE) for two Škoda models, the Enyaq and Elroq, in two EV-compatible sizes: 235/55 R19 and 255/50 R19.
Škoda Chooses Kumho Ecsta PS71 SUV
A flagship model within the Ecsta family, the Ecsta PS71 SUV is engineered for today’s high-powered SUVs, with handling and braking performance being its most notable strengths. It has consistently achieved “Good” ratings in summer tyre tests, according to Kumho Tire.
Developed using the core technology of the PS71 range, the SUV version has been specifically enhanced to accommodate larger vehicles by incorporating a more robust structure, increasing the contact area for better braking performance, and improving fuel efficiency. The tyre’s asymmetrical tread pattern, combined with new hybrid technologies, ensures stable handling at high speeds across all surfaces.
Insoo Kim, Senior Vice President at Kumho Tire, described the company’s success in supplying OE tyres to automakers as a testament to its quality and technological prowess. “We will continue to leverage our world-class quality and technology to expand our OE tyre supply for global premium carmakers,” he added.
Kumho Tire has been building its reputation as an OE supplier through partnerships with major automakers and has been trusted to supply EV tyres for their flagship models.
