18th CITEXPO Set for August 2020

The 18th edition of the China International Tire Expo (CITEXPO) is scheduled to take place from August 17-19 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Conference Center in Shanghai, China.

Citexpo Set for 18th Edition

The show, which in 2019 had 350 exhibitors and 40,000 sq m of exhibition space, attracted 350 exhibitors and over 12,000 visitors, of which over 5,500 were from overseas, including 28% from Southeast Asia and 15% from Europe.

According to the organisers, the aim of the exhibition is to deliver a high quality and effective trade platform for the worldwide tyre and wheel (rim) industry. The exhibit profile of CITEXPO not only covers the production of materials and machinery for the tyre and wheel industries, but also involves a wide variety of tyre and wheel products, aftermarket services and related equipment. The large number of exhibitors has made CITEXPO the key Chinese trade show for tyre dealers looking to source product from Chinese tyre and wheel manufacturers.

To give an idea of the kind of companies you can expect to see at CITEXPO, here is a small selection of companies who exhibited at the 2019 show.

Wanli Tire (WANLI)

Wanli Tire Co. Ltd. (formerly known as Guangzhou Huanan Rubber Tire Co., Ltd.), established in 1988, is a large state-owned enterprise that produces a full range of radial tyres. It has an annual production capacity of 16 million pieces and has two production sites at Conghua and Hefei respectively. It is currently one of the largest radial tyre manufacturers in South China, and one of the largest radial tyre exporters in China as a whole.

Prinx ChengShan

Originated in 1976, Prinx Chengshan (Shandong) Tire Co., Ltd. is a modern enterprise specialising in tyre development, manufacturing and sales. It is one of the most influential tyre companies in China. On October 9, 2018, Prinx Chengshan was listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, becoming the only tyre company listed in Hong Kong with a stock code of 1809.HK.

Prinx Chengshan products include passenger car tyres, commercial vehicle tyres, industrial tyres, agricultural tyres and special vehicle tyres. The company has four brands, including the mid-to-high-end brand “Prinx” and the well-known brand “Chengshan”, “Austone” and “Fortune“.

Winda Boto  

Winda Boto is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Wanda Group. It is one of the large-scale enterprises specializsng in the production of all-steel radial tyres, construction machinery radial tyres, semi-steel radial tyres and light truck tyres. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Wanda Group. The Groups tyre project has been under construction since November 2003. It has introduced internationally renowned production equipment and laboratory testing equipment from the United States, Germany, Italy, Japan and Netherlands. The production process has an annual capacity of 3 million all-steel heavy-duty tyres, 15 million semi-steel radial tyres and 100,000 engineering machinery tyres The company has successfully built advantageous brands such as Winda Boto, WINDA, Yi Chengde, Yongtong and Primus.

Huasheng Rubber (HuaSheng)

Founded in 1995, Shandong Huasheng Tire Group is a group of rubber products for the global market. Headquartered in Dongying, Shandong Province, Shandong Huasheng Tire Group is currently engaged in the manufacture of tyres and conveyor belts, scientific research, export trade and import of raw materials for tyre production.

The group has more than 7,000 employees, more than 260 engineers and technicians, and the group’s total assets exceed RMB 6 billion. Now it has an annual output of 4 million all-steel radial tyres, 24 million semi-steel radial tyres and a production capacity of 30 million square metres.
