Shandong Fengyuan won the National Quality Award Encouragement Award, becoming the first company of ZaoZhuang City to win this award.
The General Quality Management Promotion and 40th Anniversary Conference of the China Quality Association was held in Beijing on 28th August. In his congratulatory letter, Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, recognised the contribution of the China Quality Association over the past 40 years in pushing forward the progress of total quality management in China. Gu Xiulian, the former Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, also attended the conference.
At the event, Shandong Fengyuan Tire Manufacturing Co, Ltd, which is affiliated to Zaozhuang Mining Group and Shandong Energy Group, won the National Quality Award Encouragement Award, becoming the first company of ZaoZhuang City to win this award.
The National Quality Award is approved by the Party Central Committee and State Council, and hosted by the China Quality Association. It is the highest honour awarded to organisations that have achieved outstanding quality management and remarkable results in quality, economy and social benefits.
“This award is an affirmation of Fengyuan Tire Company's comprehensive quality management. It is an encouragement to us. We always put quality brand building as our top priority and provide safer, higher quality, more comfortable products and services to customers," said Liu Yongan, the Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
The achievement of the National Quality Award Encouragement Award was a full affirmation of Fengyuan Tire Company's product quality and management performance as well as recognition of the company's products.
Shandong Fengyuan said it always adhered to the development concept of ‘quality ahead of brand’ in recent years, satisfying its customers with product quality and devoting itself to becoming a national tyre brand that is recognised by users. Facing the complicated and ever-changing market environment, the company did not change its initial intention of producing high-quality products and building a high-end brand. It vigorously promoted the chief quality officer system, implemented high-performance management and quality control throughout the whole process and established a complete quality management system. Fengyuan’s products are exported to more than 100 countries.
In 2018, the comprehensive strength of the company saw it move up to number 75 in the global tyre enterprise ranking and was ranked 39th among tyre manufacturers in China.
Fengyuan’s product quality has reached the second stage of the European Labelling regulation. The company has won a series of honours including the recommended brand of China Rubber Industry Association and the top ten brands of China snow tyres, and was successfully listed on the CCTV2’s brand list as well as won approval from the China National Quality Inspection as a qualified product.
The company also won the national first ‘Three-Equivalent’ (same production line, same standard and same level of quality) Quality Certification, China Green Tire Certification, Industry's First ECO Product Certification as well as other national-level authority certifications.
It was rated as China Import and Export Quality Integrity Enterprise and National Combination of Information and Industrialisation Experimental Enterprise, National Product and Service Quality Integrity Demonstration Enterprise, National Tire Industry Quality Leading Enterprise and National Quality Integrity Excellent Model Enterprise.
