Toyo Tires at the 29th Edition of Autopromotec in Bologna


Toyo Tires will take part at Autopromotec in Bologna and premiere two new products at the trade fair due to be held from 25th to 28th May 2022.

Toyo Tires to Take Part in Autopromotec For the Third Time

The manufacturer will present a new tyre at the 29th edition of Autopromotec in Bologna which is, the new Proxes Sport 2 as successor of the previous bestselling model. Furthermore, Toyo Tires stated that the company is opening a new tyre plant in Serbia in 2022 which will start producing tyres from July 2022. It has a capacity of 5 million pieces per year initially. The Serbian factory will be the 8th manufacturing base of Toyo Tires. Its location in Serbia gives tariff free access to a wide rance of markets and marks the first step in the drive to realise the company's global growth strategy.

In collaboration with the European R&D Centre, which was opened in November 2019, Toyo Tires will reinforce its competitiveness and engineering prowess. At the ground breaking ceremony in December 2020, Takashi Shimizu, President of Toyo Tire Corporation set out his vision stating many of the products produced at this plant will be designed and developed at their new R&D centre in Germany. Toyo Tire's future goal is to produce tyres created entirely in Europe.

The Autopromotec exhibition is one of the largest international trade fairs for workshop equipment and the automotive/commercial vehicle aftermarket and allows companies to present numerous new products in the industry. From tyres to service products to workshop equipment and spare parts. Nearly 120,000 trade visitors from 136 countries and over 1,600 companies shared the latest industry developments at the last edition of the trade fair in 2019. Once more, renowned companies and numerous technological innovations are expected.
