ZC Rubber has been a long-standing original equipment supplier for Hyundai's commercial vehicles division. As part of the two companies continuing cooperation, ZC Rubber will now supply new patterns and sizes of its truck tyre ranges for various Hyundai long-haul truck models in China.

ZC Rubber Maintains Success with Hyundai

For five years running, the Hyundai Motor Group has ranked 5th out of the global automotive manufacturers through sales. With its substantial commercial vehicle subsidiary in China, Hyundai is one of ZC Rubber's largest commercial OE customers.

The Hyundai Hongtu EV model – a fully-electric light truck is equipped with ZC Rubber’s equipped tyres, which have been specially optimised for efficient transportation, boasting both ecological and economic advantages. The tyres have been designed with a new pattern design and compound so as to increase safety, mileage, and environmental benefits for the truck range.

ZC Rubber will also be an OE tyre supplier for the Hyundai Xcient. The tyres will make for an improved fuel economy, as, typically, under average driving conditions, the equipped tyres could save more than 30,000 litres of fuel over the course of 300,000 kilometres, according to a Chinese fuel-saving competition test result. An additional benefit is that the tyres make for a significant reduction in carbon emissions. Both ZC Rubber and Hyundai worked together developing and testing the rolling resistance via multiple tests for the soon-to-be-released tyres.

“The expansion of our OE business cooperation with Hyundai is of great strategic importance to us, as we can now offer a wide range of patterns and sizes to its multiple models in a variety of applications. It is yet more critical proof of our strong brand, investment in R&D, and leading technology in the commercial vehicle segment. ” ZC Rubber said.

Looking ahead, ZC Rubber plans to extend not only this relationship but build further relationships in the commercial vehicle market through providing better products and services to global customers.
