Lingong Tire joined with SAIC-GM-Wuling to debut the 300 Air EV Clear Sky model, the appointed transport partner at the 17th edition of the G20 Summit in Bali, Indonesia.
Linglong Tire Joins Force with SAIC-GM-Wuling
The exclusive tyre supplier for this model, Linglong demonstrated its manufacturing prowess to the global leaders attending the Summit.

Over the span of 20 years, Linglong has collaboratively promoted the core values of automotive industry development with SAIC-GM-Wuling. Recognising Linglong’s performance in R&D, product, and after-market service, the two parties reached the strategic cooperation in 2019. A key supplier of SAIC-GM-Wuling’s automobile segment Linglong is dedicated to the globalisation and sustainable development of the China auto industry.
Valuing energy-saving and emission reduction, SAIC-GM-Wuling uses low-rolling resistance as one of the important indicators for measuring tyre performance. Sharing SAIC-GM-Wuling’s pursuit for excellence, Linglong upgraded the rolling resistance performance for all supporting products to SAIC-GM-Wuling in 2018 and has continuously striven towards carbon reduction in line with the Chinese national “Dual Carbon Reduction” policy.
In September 2019, SAIC-GM-Wuling, Zhongdong Zhilun, and Linglong Tire jointly developed the rapid-iteration technology of low-rolling-resistance tyres in a project that aimed to reduce the carbon emission of the whole vehicle, as well as the technology compatible with the system of smart tyres and vehicle control, contributing to the Industry 4.0 upgrading of the China auto industry.
The debut of SAIC-GM-Wuling’s first renewable-energy model – Air EV Clear Sky, at the G20 summit marks an important milestone in developing a green ecosystem of the automotive sector.
