Linglong Tire hosted Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola in Chongqing for a fan event featuring football simulators and a 2-0 win over Brentford.

Chelsea Legend Gianfranco Zola Joins ‘The Famous CFC’ Event

Linglong Tire has strengthened its strategic alliance with Chelsea FC by hosting a high-profile fan engagement event called “The Famous CFC” in Chongqing, China. This marked the second of its kind activation event for the manufacturer in China since the partnership began in 2024.

Chelsea and Premier League legend, Gianfranco Zola, became the main highlight. The event was centred around him, where business partners, guests, and media representatives were invited by Linglong Tire for a meet-and-greet with the Italian.

Guo Kuntao, Vice President of Linglong Tire, opened “The Famous CFC” by highlighting the synergy between the two organisations. He noted that the tyre maker and Chelsea share a commitment to innovation and high-quality standards.

“It is an honour for me to represent Chelsea Football Club at the Linglong Tire event today,” Zola said during the meet-and-greet. “This collaboration reflects Chelsea’s commitment to fans worldwide, particularly in strengthening relationships with the passionate fan community in China. Many thanks to Linglong Tire for supporting the club. I hope everyone has a wonderful time in Chongqing.”

Chongqing is a city of 32 million people and is regarded as one of China’s most rapidly developing economic centres. The activation in “The Famous CFC” featured several interactive segments designed to showcase Linglong Tire‘s latest product range while emphasising the safety and quality protocols integrated into its tyre development. Attendees participated in digital photo sessions and football simulators before watching Chelsea brush aside Brentford with a 2-0 Premier League victory.

“We take this opportunity to sincerely thank the fans for their love for Chelsea and their trust in Linglong Tire. In the future, we will continue our efforts to strengthen the passion and joy of football through further events,” Kuntao said.

Linglong Tire said that it plans to create similar events in other Chinese cities. By leveraging its status as Chelsea’s global tyre partner, the manufacturer aims to increase its brand influence and market share among potential buyers across the country.
