Liqui Moly renews its partnership with Dorna as MotoGP’s exclusive lubricant until 2029, while ending its Moto2 and Moto3 involvement.
Liqui Moly Remains Sponsor Title for the Sachsenring Grand Prix
German lubricant company, Liqui Moly, has renewed its partnership with Dorna to be MotoGP’s Exclusive Lubricant until 2029. However, this renewed partnership does not extend to Moto2 and Moto3, where Liqui Moly‘s role is set to conclude at the end of the 2025 season.
“We made this decision as a team because we believe that both our technical requirements and our marketing goals in these two series, which particularly focused on our motorcycling products, have been fully met or successfully implemented,” explains Marco Esser, Marketing Director of Liqui Moly.
“MotoGP and Liqui Moly are linked by a long-standing partnership based on our shared passion for motorsport and top performance. That’s why we will continue our sponsorship in the most prestigious competition, MotoGP, to further strengthen our brand internationally. We want to inspire fans all over the world,” he added.
With the new contract signed, Liqui Moly will keep having a strong brand presence in MotoGP, on and off the tracks. It will also serve as the title sponsor of the Sachsenring Grand Prix in Germany.
“It was very important to us that the German Grand Prix continues to include our brand in its title. We are dedicated to our domestic market – and that’s what we are demonstrating,” Esser explained.
Despite no longer supporting Moto2 and Moto3, Liqui Moly has reaffirmed its loyalty to the Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP team, which competes in both classes (and also MotoE). “For the upcoming season, we have once again signed top riders who will passionately and accurately race and fly the flag for us in this breathtaking sport. We are very much looking forward to this,” Esser concluded.
