The leading independent tyre dealer group Point S recently announced the opening of its 500th point-of-sale in France.
“There is strength in numbers,” comments Christophe Rollet, Point S France CEO – Point S Development VP. “We are proud to have reached this size in network. Over the past 15 years Point S France has doubled the size of its network! It shows that we have been able to structure and develop our banner and concept by adapting ourselves to the market evolution facing an ongoing consolidation in the distribution.”
Indeed the Point S trademark is said to benefit from an 80-per cent awareness in France and attracts new members through 4 concepts that are meeting the expectations of various entrepreneur profiles in different trading areas: Point S City, for rural areas and city centres; Point S fast fit, located in urban areas; Point S Auto Center, close to malls areas, with a self-service section in the outlet; and Point S Industrial, targeting B2B customers (Truck, OTR, AG), located in industrial business areas.
The 500th Point S France outlet is located in Gignac, south of France. It offers car maintenance as well as tyre services for truck and AG.
Point S France plans to recruit 20 additional members by the end of 2017 to reach 520 locations.
Just as in France, the Point S network pursues its expansion at an international level. With a presence in 32 countries, 3,500 retail locations and more than 120 new POS since the beginning of 2017, Point S is said to rank as a leading player in the automotive maintenance market and reinforce its independence.
