Sumitomo Rubber Industries (Sumitomo Rubber) has signed a joint research agreement with the Rubber Authority of Thailand (RAOT), the French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development (CIRAD), Khon Kaen University, and Kasetsart University to conduct research on natural rubber under the Hevea Research Platform in Partnership (HRPP). The agreement was signed on August 7, 2026, in Bangkok, Thailand.
