Continental Tyres PJ Malaysia Sdn Bhd (CTM) and Media Prima Radio Network conducted ‘bubur lambuk’ giveaways for 3 weeks leading up to Hari Raya. CTM said this initiative was a first for the company in giving back to the community. As its version of breaking fast with Malaysians, packets of ‘bubur lambuk’ were distributed at selected Petronas kiosks and R&R stops. Radio announcers from Kool FM and Hot FM made special guest appearances during the sessions. The campaign ran from 6th to 22nd June, twice a week for 3 weeks from 4:30 to 6pm. Positive feedback was reportedly well received all around with 3,000 cars reached.
In conjunction with Continental’s corporate social responsibility initiative, tyre safety checks were also given to those in attendance at the various venues to ensure that their tyres were in ‘perfect condition’, be it the tyre pressure or tread depth. CTM said this campaign was one of the many initiatives the company had conducted in making the journey as safe as possible especially during the recent Raya holiday. “Safety has always been our priority and what better way of doing so then a tyre check with a little smile along the way by breaking fast with some sweet porridge. We are proud to partner with Media Prima in creating awareness on the importance of proper and regular tyre checks, especially for long travels during the festive season. Never a fuss to always ensure your tyres last,” said Cameron Wilson, Managing Director of CTM.
