In 2020, Univipal developed a series of new resources, intensifying online training and expanding content.
Univipal Technical Refresh Course Benefits Vipal’s International Market Team
Thus, virtual activities were highlighted through Univipal, the company’s corporate university, which provides training for both external and internal audiences. Vipal‘s international market team had the opportunity to improve their knowledge on various topics with over 160 class hours, qualifying around 30 professionals.
Among the topics reinforced by the university’s instructors with Vipal‘s internal audience including choosing patches; main occurrences with commercial tyres; how to reduce post-vulcanisation losses; most common damages and wear on agricultural tyres; Eco Treads; tread testing methodology, among others.
“The technical refresh course provided by Univipal during the pandemic period showed the importance that Vipal gives in keeping its collaborators up to date. It´s during times like this that I realize I am at the right company, at a winning company,” Fabricio Nedeff, Commercial Manager at Vipal Europe, proudly comments.
Paola Ferrada, General Manager of Vipal Chile, also participated in the activities and was extremely satisfied with the activities. “During these times in which we have experienced the normality of work with great difficulty, we realised that Vipal made sure to keep its team, customers and partners trained using Univipal´s virtual platform”, she says.
Paola also points out that it is very important for the internal audience to be able to participate in these activities, as they increase the range of knowledge and exchange of experiences in the global retreading segment.
“Our technicians saw Univipal‘s distance learning courses as a good opportunity to be able to stay up to date on the conditions of the retreading industry, new technologies, product launches, appropriate uses, processes, just to name a few,” she adds.
Overall, Univipal registered over 220 hours of virtual training, 169 of those in the form of webinars, an activity that had never been done before at the institution. Overall, 3,287 students completed Univipal‘s distance learning courses, 47.4 per cent more than in 2019.
For Andreia Peruzzo, Coordinator of Vipal´s university,“In addition to improving and refreshing our team´s knowledge, we took the opportunity to better understand how to work with the technologies available and test the possibility of online tools in our market.”
