Designed for extreme running, the Ventus V12 evo2 is developed by Hankook especially for the drivers of sport cars, sporty coupés and high performance sedans who want to express their personality and style. Manufactured with the latest technology, the tyre has considerable improvements in all performance parameters, including environmental characteristics.
Hankook Bring Ventus V12 evo2 to Market
With a high grip silica tread compound featuring an innovative functionalised styrene polymer that lowers tyre rolling resistance, the Ventus V12 evo 2 is said to achieve better fuel economy without sacrificing dry and wet traction. Its flow-optimised, directional tread that consists of the 3D block structure, already known from the predecessor model, was enhanced for ‘excellent’ water channelling. The high density polyester carcass increases sidewall stiffness and durability, beneficial for sporty driving. Strong single strand bead wire improves uniformity and tyre fitting.
Other features include circumferential and Aqua jet lateral grooves that promote efficient water evacuation from the centre of the tyre’s contact patch to enhance hydroplaning resistance and wet traction. Grooves in the intermediate blocks feature stealth technology and a unique wing tip design that reduces noise.
Its internal structure includes two wide steel belts reinforced by two plies of spirally wrapped jointless nylon, offering better dry and wet handling. High stiffness bead fillers sandwich hard rubber between the sidewall’s polyester cord casing plies to improve handling response by resisting distortion at high speeds and while cornering.
Both dry and wet braking distances of the Ventus V12 evo2 are shortened as compared to the conventional tyre by 1.4m and 1.5m respectively, thanks to the use of high traction nano-silica tread compound in combination with the optimised tread block stiffness along the entire tread width. The cooling system improves the dispersion of heat generated during use and helps to evacuate water from the tyre’s contact patch.
It has an aerodynamic design, incorporating rectangular dimples in the tyre´s sidewall, which helps to minimise noise and vibration by reducing airflow turbulence while driving to provide a more comfortable experience.
Apart from that, the Visual Alignment Indicator (VAI) siping system offers drivers an easy way to check tyre alignment by comparing tyre wear on both the inside and outside of the tyre´s contact patch.
In short, the company claims that with Ventus V12 evo2, sporty driving is a truly enjoyable experience as it offers secure handing and short braking distance even at high speeds with no sacrifice in comfort.
The Ventus V12 evo2 is available in 25 dimensions, ranging from 16 to 19 inches with tread widths of 195 to 255mm in 30 to 50 series profiles.
