The Laufenn G Fit 4S stands out with strong wet handling, fast lap times, and excellent price-performance, finishing 10th out of 30 in Auto Bild’s test.
Laufenn G Fit 4S Only Costs £5.22 per 1,000 Kilometres
Laufenn G Fit 4S achieved the overall score of “good” in the latest Auto Bild all-season tyre test of the 225/40 R 18 size for sporty compact models. Tested against the other 29 all-season tyres, the tyre made the top ten, thanks to its “impressive, balanced performance”.
Laufenn is part of the Hankook family and serves as its secondary tyre brand. Despite the brand’s status, the G Fit 4S managed to perform admirably in the test, especially when braking in wet and snowy road conditions. In this particular aspect, the tyre even outperformed some well-known competitors in the top five.
The tyre also showed strong handling on wet surfaces and impressed on the wet circular track, clocking the second-fastest average speed and fastest lap time. Meanwhile, on a dry surface, the Laufenn G Fit 4S demonstrated solid handling and finished the test in fourth.
Performance is not the only strong suit of the Laufenn G Fit 4S. In the cost category, it also achieved good marks, where it was among the best three in the test panel. It showed a “very good ratio” of price and predicted mileage of just €6.01 (£5.22) per 1,000 kilometres.
In the final ranking, the G Fit 4S came 10th out of 30 candidates and received the following verdict from the jury: “Specialist in wet conditions offering impressive price-performance ratio.”
